MICROWAVE PLASMA INTERACTION STUDIES

The aim of the UCD Microwave Plasma Interaction program is to understand the interaction physics between electromagnetic waves and plasmas and to address fundamental physics issues related to plasma turbulence, laser fusion, laser-based accelerators and advanced laser sources. The approach is to employ large low density plasmas which are easily diagnosed and high power microwave sources.
